Flexibility refers to the passive motion of joints. Mobility is flexibility plus strength–which refers to the amount of USABLE motion that one possesses. We will work through the whole body, joint-by-joint, and learn how to improve the independent articulation and function of each joint. This will eventually lead to more range of motion.
Each class will start with guided, full-body joint mobilizations and will transition to kinetic stretching, with an emphasis on the shoulders, spine, and hips. Participants will also learn self-assessment tools for discovering one’s own joint limitations and what to prioritize for reducing injury risk.
