Adequate joint mobility is extremely important for longevity and performance. Martial arts requires infinite amounts of complex body movements, and the more range of motion and control you have of your joints, the more defensive and attacking options you’ll have.
During our mobility classes, we will work through the whole body, joint-by-joint, and learn how to improve the independent articulation and function of each joint. This will eventually lead to more range of motion.
Each class will start with guided, full-body joint mobilizations and then transition to kinetic stretching, with an emphasis on the shoulders, spine, and hips. Participants will learn self-assessment tools for discovering their own joint limitations and what to prioritize for reducing injury risk.
