Our No-Gi Grappling class follows the structure of our other Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes & is a mixed-levels class, recommended for practitioners with at least some prior grappling experience.
No-Gi grappling holds the same fundamental principles as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, except the traditional gi uniform is not worn during sparring. Grabbing clothes in No-Gi is generally not allowed, so the control & submission options usually available from grabbing the gi are no longer available. Instead, students can try to control an opponent by gripping the body’s natural handles (e.g. the neck, wrist, elbow, knees, hips, etc.).
